What You Will Be Doing!

The lucky person who gets to become the latest App Genius will not only oversee software development, but also aspects of project, client/account and product management. This unique and always exciting process will involve:

- Designing and coding applications end-to-end – including database models, application logic, and presentation layers. – Working with a solid team of experienced developers and designers on a broad range of projects that ordinarily last anywhere from 5-10 weeks. – Acting as part developer, part project manager and part designer, while interfacing with many and varied web-savvy brand managers at world-class companies. – Utilizing agile processes so as to make it look easy and fun, as opposed to an oppressive chore.

Playing an indispensable part in cutting edge projects that are fun in keep-you-on-your-toes challenging sort of way and constantly evolving!

What We Need From You!

Ideal candidates are top-of-the-line developers, who at the same time get how social networking works, and can converse comfortably with clients. Other necessary skills include:

- Significant experience in building and launching strong web applications. – Experience with web UI technologies – DHTML, CSS, Javascript, etc. – Fluent in one or more OO or Scripting languages like Java, PHP, Python, Perl. – A strong interest in social networks, with some exposure to the technology/concepts behind them. – Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to consistently contribute creative ideas. – CS or related degree.

What Would Be Awesome (but not necessarily necessary):

- Ruby on Rails know-how. – Previous Facebook specific web-app experience. – Knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases.
